Scope: This policy is to define how the trustees look after the health safety and welfare of members and visitors of the Teesside Hackspace based at 3D, Brighouse Business Village, Riverside Park Road, Middlesbrough, TS2 1RT. A copy of the policy is to remain in the H&S folder and members are to be emailed a link to the policy.

Use of certain equipment (as labelled) to be used in accordance with their corresponding risk assessment and only to be used after training with the member signed off by the trustees or those designated by the trustees in writing to be able to sign other off.

Trustees and members have a responsibility

Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances and take reasonable care of others’ safety when operating tools and machinery
