There are an ever increasing amount of interests that are common within groups of out members, such as (but in no way limited to):

  • 3D printing
  • Computer Programming
  • Electronics
  • Embedded Programming
  • IOT Devices/ Home Automation
  • Metalwork
  • Laser Cutting
  • Radio controlled (Cars, quadcopters, planes and more)
  • Retro Gaming
  • Woodwork

For new members it generally doesn't take long to get pointed to those with similar interests, also Slack has specific channels for some of these common interests.

Members are encouraged to meet together in groups in addition to the Weekly Open Evenings.

Some subgroups which have actively met together to date are category:Subgroups/Young Makers Club and Subgroups/RC Club (more may have happened since, as always Slack is the best way to keep up-to-date).
